Elemis is a spa and retail range of luxury skin products and is widely available. The products below are those that I’ve tested so far. The recommended retail prices are listed, but it is worth shopping around as products are available for less on Amazon, just click on the titles to take you straight through to buy. There are a selection of sizes of the Marine Cream and Oxygenating Night Cream. I bought from a local beauty salon and they were cheaper than the RRP too. My review is under the product list, scroll down to read.

I used to be a fan of Arbonne's RE9 range. Nothing has beaten it – until now. The one thing I discovered about Arbonne RE9 is that the minute I stop using it, my skin suffers. So the benefits can’t go very deep into the dermis.
When I test any product, I use my usual cleanser, serum and moisturiser on one side of my face and the new products on the other, unlike most skincare tests that use no skincare as their control group. That’s right – most tests use products on one side of the face and no products at all on the other.
The Full Elemis Review
Starting from the top with the cleansing gel: Very silky and I love the feel of it on my skin – I always use a wash-off cleanser and this is really lovely. If you want to reduce your outlay, you could skip this step – I’ve since gone onto an Aubrey organic cleanser and I’ve noticed no changes to my skin.
The first thing I like is the ability of the serum and creams to spread: the usual ‘pea-sized’ blob is enough for my entire face and neck, and the remainder on my hands enough for a treat there, too. No greasy feeling or stickiness: just lovely, comfortable feeling skin. The smell of the products is divine – I know that shouldn’t matter but it is truly indulgent – makes me feel like a million dollars! I finished the serum about three weeks ago and by the look of my skin this is definitely needed – I haven’t replaced it and I’m starting to see a difference in the look of my skin. I didn’t notice an immediate tightening from the serum – probably because of the results from Faceworks.
For the day and night creams I started with 50ml sizes: they should last 5 months with ordinary use on both sides of the face. I’m impressed with the quantity, many higher-priced brands are quite mean with their precious formulas. My Arbonne Night Cream is 50ml but it is much thicker than the Elemis and I go through lots of it – which results in me being stingy and not moisturising my whole face.
The Elemis began to show its’ class after about three weeks. Line depth was first to improve, and the crepiness on my upper lids. Skin generally looked smoother and in better condition. The ability of the cream to cover so well is a master stroke, because every part of the face is nourished and there’s no guilty ‘second dip’ because you’ve missed a bit.
To make sure of the results I swapped sides and used the Elemis on the Arbonne side, and vice versa. It’s taken some convincing that my beloved Arbonne is beaten, but it is! The main aim was to find products to benefit my skin and improve the structure as I grow older, to give more than the purely superficial help that the Arbonne RE9 provided. Elemis does this and I will be using it exclusively from now on – and I’ll be smelling like a million dollars too!
Enjoy looking gorgeous! Elaine x
